Yorktown jumped out to an early double-digit lead in the first half and rode it to a 58-49 win in a boys basketball game against Anderson Friday. Caleb Morey led the Tigers with 19 points, while Riley Miller had 16 and Riley Neal scored 13. Miller and Neal also paced the Tigers with eight rebounds each.
With the victory, the Tigers improve their record to 4-3 and end a two-game losing streak.
Yorktown (1-1 Hoosier Heritage Conference) hosts Shelbyville Saturday in its third HHC game of the season.
•Daleville 45, Southern Wells 42: Daleville defeated Southern Wells to earn its second win of the season. TJ Price led the Broncos offensively with 18 points while Keaton Shipley added 15.
Daleville (2-5) will host Camberide City Saturday.
