Delta won the Jay County Sectional Saturday afternoon, its second sectional title since 1995.
Despite having just three winners, Delta scored 447 points and knocked off No. 2 Central by 65.5 points, which scored 381.50.
Jay County was third with 244, while Burris finished eighth with 175.50.
Delta won the 50, 200 free relay and 400 free relay. Andrew Torres swam a 21.50 in the 50 free, John Hart, Jared Hunt, Devyn Tarr and Trees swam a 1:29.53 in the 200 free relay and Torres, Joshua Minch, Chandler Tucker and Hart swam a 3:18.39 in the 400 free relay.
The Eagles had 13 swimmers or teams finish in the top three, propelling them to the win despite not winning many events. Nine of the 12 events had Delta finishers in the top three, racking up points where others fell short.
Despite not winning sectionals, Central won the most events with six. Cameron Ottinger, Cullen Tyler, Lucas Bradford and Alec Hale won the 200 relay (1:39.44) and 500 free (4:46.30), Hale won the 200 free (1:47.72), Bradford won the 200 IM (2:03.60), Tyler won the 100 fly (52.32) and the 100 breast (1:01.10).
Jay County pulled out a win in one event, when Sok Vormohr won the 100 free with a time of 49.43.
Burris’s best scores came in the 100 back and 400 free, where it finished seventh in each. Donald Ward swam a 1:01.25 in the 100 back, while the team of Coly Tabberson, Justice Gray, Ward and Jackb Baugh finished in 3:51.28 in the 400 relay.
At the Fishers Sectional, Yorktown finished sixth with 195 points. Hamilton Southeastern was first with 519, while host Fishers was second with 503.
The best finish for the Tigers was the 200 relay, where Isaih Huisman, Luke Letbetter, Alex Nockoli and Kyle Miller finished third with a time of 1:44.36.
The New Palestine Sectional, which includes New Castle, was postponed until Monday.
