Behind Owen Crum’s complete game, Burris topped Seton Catholic 3-0. Crum gave up three hits and one walk while striking out 13. Matt Armstrong had two hits, including a triple, and Crum also had two hits.
Eastbrook scored seven runs in the fifth inning to roll past Wapahani 13-2. Hayden Castor drove in both runs for the Raiders and had two hits, including a double.
Madison-Grant scored six runs in the bottom of the seventh to stun Wes-Del 9-8. Matt Emrick was 3-for-5 with two RBIs, Calvin Carmin went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Zach VanCleave had two hits and an RBI.
Yorktown swept a double-header from Shelbyville, winning 16-1 in the first game and 9-3 in the nightcap. The Tigers rolled behind Jacob Preston in the opener as he struck out 14 in just five innings and also hit a home run. Clay Dungan, Nathan Phillips and Anthony Todd all had multiple hits for the Tigers in the second game.
SOFTBALL
Jay County rolled to an 11-0 win over Central. Katy Merkel and Autumn Dishroon had the lone hits for the Bearcats.
GIRLS TENNIS
Yorktown topped Pendleton Heights 3-2 as the No. 2 doubles duo of Taylor Smith and Deena Elsheikh earned a 6-4, 6-0 win.
Kyra Braun and Shelby McClain won singles matches for Jay County, but the Patriots fell to Leo 3-2.
