New Castle won the Greenfield-Central Sectional on Monday. The Trojans’ Drew Saunders shot 74 and won a playoff to take medalist honors. Teammate Blake Wheeler shot 75 and finished third overall. Blue River finished 10th at 414, guided by Zach Rangel, who shot 98.
BASEBALL
Blackford’s Chase Mahan made the All-Central Indiana Conference Baseball Team. The catcher hit .482, clubbed six home runs and drove in 25 runs.
