Yorktown edged New Castle 184-191 in its season opener. The Tigers’ Reece Malapit shot 35 to earn medalist honors, and teammate Holly Haynes shot 41. Olivia Porter shot 39 to lead New Castle, while the Trojans’ Carlie Johnson shot 41.
Jay County finished fifth in a tournament at South Adams, shooting 407. Brooke Sanders shot 93 to lead the Patriots.
