Jay County won the Allen County Athletic Conference Tournament title Thursday after beating South Adams 2-0 (25-20, 25-20) in the semifinals and Heritage 2-1 (25-13, 26-28, 25-22) in the final. Abby Barcus had 35 kills on the night, including 26 in the championship. Abby Wendel had 12 kills and 13 digs in the title match, while Lizzy Schoenlein dished out 65 assists over the two matches.
BOYS SOCCER
Herital Hall defeated Tabernacle Christian 5-1 Friday evening. Brayden Karnes scored three goals, Skyler Posey added one goal and one assist. Justin Hiltz tacked on one goal and three assists. Goalkeeper Kyle Smith notched five saves.
