BOYS SWIMMING

Central’s Alec Hale, Cullen Tyler, Lukas Bradford and Clark Tinder were named to the All-North Central Conference team.

The Delta boys swimming team remained undefeated on the season after knocking off Adams Central, 146-36. The Eagles took first place in every event. Andrew Torres won the 100 butterfly and 200 free, Josh Minch won the 200 IM and 100 backstroke, and Jarod Hunt won the 50 freestyle and 100 free.

Jay County topped Elwood, 86-8. Travis Barton finished first in both the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly. Sok Vormohr brought in two first place finishes in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle. Cody White won the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle for the Patriots.

GIRLS SWIMMING

Central’s Chloe Townsend, Kacie Johnson, Kayla Beaty and Shelby Haggard were named to the All-North Central Conference team.

The Delta girls swimming team defeated Adams Central 128-50, sweeping first place in all events. Hannah George won the 200 IM and 100 butterfly, Alexa Milholland won the 50 freestyle and 100 free, while Jenny Moynihan won the 200 free and 500 free.

Jay County defeated Elwood 80-22. Alex Bader took home individual wins in the 200 freestyle and the 100 butterfly. Sophie Bader was also a double winner, finishing first in the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke. Anne Vormohr was a top finisher as well, finishing first in the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

New Castle edged out Blackford, 48-44. Leading the Bruins offense was Lauren Godfrey with 16 points. Maggie Weeks-Foy added 12 points and eight turnovers.

After a slow start, Yorktown chipped away at Central’s lead, but the 14 point hole early on was too much to overcome as Central defeated Yorktown 55-44. Jenna Irelan led the Tigers with 20 points. Katy Johnson added 12 points and five rebounds.

Delta dropped its game against Eastbrook, 56-23. Teaghan Dishman led the way with five points, while Ericka Pursley and Micaya Richardson each added four.

Wapahani defeated Blue River 69-32 Tuesday night, Kambrey Jolley leading the way for Wapahani with 15 points.

Wes-Del pulled away to a 56-26 victory over Irvington Prep. Mackenzie Whitehead led the Warriors with 26 points and 14 rebounds. Abbie Rooker added 13 points.
