The Burris boys basketball team dropped a close game to Eastbrook on Tuesday night, 64-62. Trailing by two points in the final seconds, the Owls got a look for a 3-pointer to potentially win the game, but the shot didn’t fall. The loss drops Burris to 3-5 on the season.

Ryan Morey finished with a team-high 21 points while Nick Baker was second with 16. But, struggles from the free throw line led to Burris’ fall.

“What hurt us was the free throw line, where we went 6-17,” Burris coach Joe Anderson said.

Despite the close defeat, Anderson said he was pleased with his players. “It was a hard fought battle but I’m proud of the kids, I told them to keep their heads up,” Anderson said.

  • Shenandoah 60, Daleville 43: Bryce Stephens led Daleville with 12 points, and teammate TJ Price had 11 points and seven rebounds, but the Raiders were too much for the Broncos.
