Winter weather will once more wreak havoc on the plans and hopes for county tournament basketball.
All action in the Delaware, Henry and Randolph County Tournament planned for Monday night was postponed because of weather. That total included six games, four girls and two boys.
Delaware’s first round for girls was set to start at Yorktown, and will move to accommodate the boys playing on other days. The first round will now be Wednesday and the semifinals Thursday. The final remains at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Randolph County’s finals had already been delayed once by weather and now the Winchester-Union boys game and Union-Randolph Southern girls matchup were bumped back to Tuesday.
Things got a little trickier in Henry County, where the boys final between Shenandoah and Knightstown was also pushed back to Tuesday. But the Shenandoah girls, set to face Union, have a compact upcoming schedule and will play their final Jan. 28 according to the Twitter account of athletic director Todd Salkoski.
