Monroe Central shut out Northeastern in the first quarter Wednesday and went on to claim a 47-19 girls basketball victory.
Kinzie Williams led the Golden Bears with 11 points and Bailey Duncan added 10. Abigail McGrath had 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Winchester loses
Hagerstown pulled away from Winchester in the fourth quarter to take a 45-29 victory.
The Golden Falcons trailed only 26-20 after three periods. Liz Pegg scored 10 points for Winchester, and Rebecca Neville had 12 rebounds.
Union breaks record
Union clobbered Seton Catholic 94-44, breaking its school record for points in a game. The previous mark was 80.
The Rockets rolled to a 27-0 lead before Seton Catholic scored with 2:45 left in the first quarter.
MacKyndsea Burke scored 20 points to lead Union. DeAnn Kauffman added 19 points, Rylee Davis added 14, Faithlan Ellis had 13 and Ajka Trojanova had 12.
